Dwight has over 27 years of Private teaching experience . Dwight believes in utilizing many dynamic approaches for students to experience playing as vibrant , real, and relevant to today’s world. Dwight’s students have for many years consistently achieved high positions in Arizona All State Band, Arizona Regional Band, and All State Jazz. His fortes include a unique ability to instill a belief in a student’s own abilities - and that acting massively on this will always result in higher and higher Musical achievements . I graduated from the University of Arizona in May of 2011 with a Bachelor's in Music Education and am currently finishing my M. Ed in Curriculum & Instruction (Gifted Education). I am a National Board Certified Teacher and work in the Washington Elementary School District as a music instructional coach. I have classroom experience with grades K-8 in General Music, Band and Strings. I have taught private students in my spare time and I have played with several orchestras as well as guest recorded with a family music group. Professional memberships include: Nation Association for Music Education (NAfME), National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT), and Arizona Educator's Association (AEA). I hold a gifted endorsement and certification in level 1 in both Orff and Kodaly pedagogy.
